Wed~7~Feb 2024 | NA must be proficien | EOI Japan skiing | Private trip EOI | Are you interested in skiing Japan in 2024? I am posting a call for expressions of interest in a privately organised Japan ski trip in northern winter 2024. Best regards Keith Tarlo I am proposing to privately book backcountry guides from a reputable company like WhiteRoom or Journey into Japan. By booking privately, we can use an existing itinerary, or book private guides for some days only and adapt trips to the group’s interests, skills and budget, for example see ‘Custom packages’ on the WhiteRoom website (https://www.whiteroomtours.com/japan-ski-snowboard-guiding/custom-packages/) You would have to be reasonably proficient at skiing downhill including in powder and among trees (in my case inelegantly), but I am not aiming at the highly advanced level that some commercial trips call for. Where: I have a preference for Hokkaido where most guiding operators are based. When: About a week in February. I prefer mid to late February. Group size: need a minimum of about 4 to make it financially viable to book guides privately. Cost: depends on what we do, when we go and where we stay! |
