Wed~18~--~Sun~22 Feb~2026EasyDerschko Hut MaintenancePlanning for a trip into Derschkos around the 18 to 22nd Feb and looking for expressions of interest and availability indications We didn't do a complete re-paint last year so won't know the condition but hopefully if we have enough takers it will give us some walk/ride time. The north wall of the hut has been re-clad in Colorbond saving some maintenance We plan to spend some time in Jindabyne after the trip and you are welcome to join us at Cedarwood which can be a base for paddling, riding or walking (we have 3 kayaks or BYO toys) Please let me know your interest or suggestions.

Thu~2~--~Mon~6 Apr~2026Walking in southern Kosciuszko and East GippslandThere are several patches of rainforest in Kociuszko and further south in Victoria. This is an opportunity to experience these rarely visited rainforests. The walking access will be off track and is likely to include some steep terrain carrying a day pack or a two day overnight pack. There will be some camping beside the car. Access will be via the Barry Way and/or MacKillops bridge. I have not visited this part of Kosciuszko or East Gippsland before and am treating the trip as an exploratory adventure. We will spend some time looking at the plants in the rainforest, so an interest in botany would be an advantage.
Sat~25~--~Sun~26 Apr~2026Hut Maintenance4 Mile HutOur annual maintenance trip to 4 mile hut. More details as the plan develops. Please express interest early.
